Leadership Be-attitude : How to lead at winning

You can make many plans,
but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
Proverbs 19:21 NLT

And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God
and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 NLT

If your attitude is going to change, you need an encounter with God, that will change how you think and how you see yourself.
Proverb 23:7 As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is…
How you see yourself is what becomes your reality. 1John 4:17b …as He is, so are we in THIS WORLD. God created you in his image and after his likeness.

Know your self-worth.
Who do I have?
What do I have?
What are my skill sets?
Self-worth is the reason you don’t and won’t short change yourself.
Know your self-esteem.
Your self-esteem is I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.(Phil. 4:19)
All I need is God. Put on your whole armour and put on God. If you want to change your economy, change your attitude. Your achievements or a lack of it are tied to your attitudes.

Be-attitudes

1. Purpose and enthusiasm

Purpose is the original intention of why God created you -the reason why you are here on Earth. The only person who can show you this purpose is God. If you are in your purpose you are fulfilled. Purpose is the first indispensable attitude of winning.
Enthusiasm is a result of knowing your purpose. Without your purpose, there will be no enthusiasm. When you are in your purpose, you are excited to wake up and work at it.

What are you enthusiastic about? What drives you? What are you passionate about? Your purpose to somewhere close to this.

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.
Psalm 20:4
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Mark 11: 24

When you pray, pray about what you desire. Your enthusiasm is stronger than your opposition.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart
Psalms 37:4
God values purpose more than anything else. Wealth or money is the result of fulfilling your purpose not the purpose in itself.

2. Initiative

Initiative accomplishes your purpose. Make it happen. Just do it! The difference between a dream and vision is initiative. Initiative is where momentum comes from. You need momentum. Momentum means you line up your prey and deal with them one after the other. Line up the obstacles and smash them one after the other. Your momentum puts your enemy to flight. When leading other people, you must show them your momentum and when they begin to tap into your vision, they become a force to reckon with. This also encourages you to move on.

3. Focal priorities

Leaders have a clear sense of what they need to do. If you don’t prioritise your time, someone else will give you something to do. You need to prioritise yourself. Priority protects you from missing your destiny. You have to learn how to say NO! Know the difference between expedient and beneficial, between important and urgent. Audit your current priority and be sure they are in line with your purpose.

4. Goal Setting

A goal is not a goal if it does not have a timeline. Your goal needs a timeline and you must line them up to achieve your vision.
You can make many plans,
but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.
Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.
Ephesians 1:11 & 12

5. Persistence

The widow got the judge to avenge her of her enemies because she was persistent. (Luke 18) Persistence is to press on in spite of the valleys and the heights. Just like the four friends that carried their friend through the roof. Have a resolve to never quit.

Quitters don’t move, movers don’t quit.

Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes but they don’t quit.
Conrad Hilton

6. Innovate

To innovate, you have to move to new things. Don’t stay stuck in the past and do not remember the former things or the things of old. Take hold of technology because God is going to use it to do a lot of exploits in the nearest future,
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
Colossians 3:10
You have the creator spirit inside of you.

7. Partnership

When choosing a partner in the course of fulfilling your purpose, do not choose someone who does exactly what you can do, if not there will be a problem of competition. Partnership is ruined by competition.

The above is my personal note from the message preached by Pastor Paul Adefarasin at House on the Rock, Lagos Nigeria.
