The Count Down

Tick tock tick tock
Can you hear the clock?
It’s the count down to the future
The times we have now is a mixture
Of the good, bad and all things in between
Lend me your ears, your hands entwine
In anticipation
Of the unheard abolition
Stiff stuff stuck slow slit
Explains it
The unbearable heat
The foretold tales that we all despise
Creep upon our consciousness in a manner concise
I am just a poet of the old ways
I am here cos I hear the fays
Their voices in my heart
Letting me no warmth from the hearth
Till I am done telling you
Tock tick tock ticking
The count down! Can you hear the clocking?
