Someday…poetry

Someday

We will go to beaches 

We will travel to see the Effiel Tower

We will walk the streets of London, Picadilly and the rest of them 

We will see the pyramids of Egypt and watch history come alive 

We will walk by River Nile

We will visit the places Jesus walked

We will get to New York City 

We go to the Bahamas 

We will live in the finest hotels 

We will go swimming, skiing, jumping and running

We jump from heights in parachutes 

Our lives will be more interesting than this 

Someday soon 

Until then 

We will keep wishing and making up stories 

We will see the world someday.

Someday we look at our lives now and smile, knowing that the battles are for a reason. We will laugh at our antics and the twisted story life has handed to us. Someday when it’s time to leave this plane, we will say “I lived.”
