Dull Day

It is dull today
The faces are gloomy
The roses are lifeless
The roads are soggy

It is dull today
The rains have come
With vigour
Our bodies are drenched

It is dull today
The winds have blown off roofs
The homes of our little gods are gone
There is quiet everywhere

It is dull today
The scarecrow chirps incessantly
The dogs bark endlessly
The streets are empty.
