Mischief and Secrets

Too many skeletons
In the cupboard
Many demons to hide
The truth stares
Bluntly in the face
In moment unbidden
In the times unhidden
Truth and lies meet.

All the time
Seeking cover
Defending each words
Without being asked
Ready to fight
On alert
To wade off blows
Fighting to keep the past.

Those secrets
Mysterious to fathom
The wicked human mind
The plots against others
The mischiefs created
The very darkness
Takes away the peace
Carrying a chip on the shoulder.
